Frozen assets of Artyom Uss
Italian media reported that the asset freeze procedure was carried out by the Financial Guard under a regulation signed by Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti.
Uss was detained in Italy in October 2022 on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by the US prosecutor’s office. He was facing deportation to the US and was waiting for the final decision of the Italian court.
According to the Italian press, the governor’s son was helped to escape from his home by a whole “network of accomplices” linked to the Russian secret services.
According to the decision of the finance minister, Uss’ shares in a company in Sardinia, a house in Basiglio near Milan, where he was under house arrest, and 160,000 euros in a bank account were frozen.
