Half a year after the body of Hanna Herasimczyk, a 46-year-old Belarusian, was found, the Milanese carabinieri arrested her common-law partner. Investigative findings show that this is exactly what happened 43-year-old Konrad D. strangled a woman in a shared apartment. This allegedly happened during their heated argument on the night of June 11-12.
After the death of his female partner, a Pole he informed the police himself – he did it the next day, pretending to find her already dead. In his version of events, after an argument with his partner, he left the apartment and spent the next 24 hours in the truck he drove to work.
The man claimed that when Hanna did not answer his calls and did not respond to messages, he went back to the apartment to check what was happening and only then he found the body.
He seemed concerned when reporting. He also informed the police that Herasimczyk had a quarrel with her ex-partner, who sent her threats in an attempt to direct suspicion towards him. Evidence collected by investigators, including genetic material taken from under the victim's fingernails and telephone records, however, they indicate the Pole's guilt.

The murdered woman's friends admit that the couple argued oftenand in such situations a man became physically aggressive: He once allegedly beat his partner until she lost consciousness. Frequent conflicts between Belarusians and Poles and the related violence are also confirmed by neighbors. During one of the arguments that took place a month before the woman's death, cries for help were heard.
The court decided to arrest the Pole on charges of premeditated murder. However, the premise of special cruelty was excluded.
