A special number was launched in the Diocese of Como in the north of Italy for people who need the help of an exorcist. The designated assistants are to respond to the phone within 48 hours.
The Italian media recently informed about the special initiative of the diocese in Como for local faithful. As explained, it is to meet the growing demand for such a rite.
The special phone number created there allows from February 1 to contact the assistants of diocesan exorcists. Their task is to recognize signs that may indicate a possible need to obtain such help. If this happens, the next steps are taken to determine the details of the meeting with the exorcist.

“This is not a magical ritual, but a long and demanding process that includes strong personal commitment,” explained the diocese. She emphasized that telephone contact is only the first cognitive stage on this path.
As added in the announcement, this service “aims to encourage the faithful to intensify Christian life and recognize signs that may show the possible need for an exorcist intervention.”
