Italy’s 1.4 million low-income families will receive an allowance of €382 in the form of a card to pay for basic groceries, Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, has announced. He explained that it was a form of help in connection with high prices.

In a television interview, the minister announced that families with an annual income of less than EUR 15,000 would be entitled to this allowance.

He noted that those who already use other forms of support will not receive a shopping card. You can make purchases with the card from July to the end of the year, and you need to activate it by September 30.

The government of Giorgia Meloni allocated half a billion euros in the budget for this form of aid.
