Italy is hit by extreme weather. On Tuesday, a strong wind was uprooting trees in the center of Naples, in Piazza Cavour, next to the train stop of the same name. Trees fell on parked cars. There is no information on the victims.
In the Campania region, of which Naples is the capital, second degree weather alerts are in place for storms and heavy rainfall. Due to the anticipated violent events, it was decided that the city parks in Naples will be closed on Tuesday.
Flooded roads and tracks in Sicily
Over the past few days, rain has fallen heavily in Sicily, flooding the roads. Railway traffic between Palermo and Agrigento was blocked due to flooding of tracks. Second degree warnings apply.
Downpours on Tuesday are expected in Sardinia. It is expected to blow strongly in Tuscany.
