The Greek and Italian police shared a recording, which shows the arrest of an American suspected of a woman and her daughters, whose naked bodies were found in a park in Rome. The man left Italy and was detained in Greece.

The man whose name was not given was arrested on the Greek island of Skiatos, where he went from Italy. He is suspected in a case that does not leave the Italian headers from Saturday, when in the largest city park in Rome, Villa Pomphili, the naked bodies of the woman and her daughter were found. The mother lay near the child and was covered with a black plastic bag. The investigation showed that she died a few days before the child.

A man seen with a child after a woman's death

The arrested American has not yet been accused because the cause of a woman's death is unknown. However, the services inform that they have “strong evidence” against a man. One of the prosecutors stated that there was a “reasonable suspicion that this is a double murder.”

Prosecutors inform that they still have not identified a woman or her child. It is known that it was a baby – it was less than a year.

Italian newspapers say that mother and child are US citizens, just like a detained man, but prosecutors do not confirm it. It is also unclear whether a man is a child's father – genetic studies are underway to confirm this.

According to the authorities, the man was seen with a woman and a child. According to witnesses, he was also to be noticed alone with the baby, which he kept in her arms after the woman was to live. Investigators claim that the couple had had an argument on the street before, as a result of which the police determined the man's identity, which later helped him identify.
