Both Italians and foreigners decided to use the last weekend before the unprecedented experiment on the Grand Canal begins with booking a visit and charging a fee of 5 euros to those who come only for a few hours, without accommodation.

The new rules will be introduced for 29 days between April 25 and July 14.

Venice

On these selected days, every person over the age of 14 coming to Venice must register on a special online platform at https://cda.ve.it/it/, created by the municipality.

Reserving a place in a hotel or other accommodation facility exempts you from paying the fee, but not from the need to register your arrival.
