The Ukrainian leader Wołodymyr Zelanski met on Saturday in Rome with the Canadian Prime Minister Marek Carney. – We waited in Turkey Putin and he didn't come. We think he is afraid of direct conversations – he announced during the conversation.
The president was in favor of increasing pressure on Russia – reports Interfax-Ukraina. – You have to press Russia even more on Putin, to achieve peace as soon as possible. Even more pressure, even more sanctions – he called.
Zelanski wrote in social media after meeting that the next sanctions against Russia should include energy and so a fleet of shadows.
As Reuters said, Zelanski will represent on Sunday Ukraine at the inauguration of Pope Leon XIV.

Sunday celebrations in the Vatican
On Sunday morning in the Vatican there will be the inauguration of the pontificate of the new Pope Leon XIV. According to the Vatican, over 20 heads of states will take part in it. These were the first direct conversations between representatives of these countries in three years. Interfax-Ukraina notes that Zelanski thanked the Pope for the readiness to “take the role of a mediator in restoring peace around the world”, but he did not mention any dates of possible meetings.
