Bankruptcy of the Palikota company: District Court for Kraków-Śródmieście by decision of December 11 declared bankruptcy Manufaktura Piwa Wódki i Wina, whose president is Janusz Palikot. It was mainly around this company that recent scandals related to the former MP have revolved. In October 2023, creditors agreed to repay the arrears on a deferred date to save the company from bankruptcy. There was a condition though settling current liabilities on time. However, there were problems with this, so the court dismissed the application for arrangement proceedings. She became a trustee KDR Doradztwo i Restrukturyzacje Sp. z o. o
Palikot accused his partner: Many months before his arrest and imprisonment, Janusz Palikot accused his former partner, Marek Maślanka, of allegedly he wanted to cause bankruptcy Beer, Vodka and Wine Manufactures and group takeover at a low amount. Palikot accused him of spreading false information, scaring contractors and employees, and “sending journalists on them.” “I emphasize once again – my goal is to put the company back on track and return the funds to employees, investors and creditors. This is how I differ completely from Marek Maślanka. I say no to thievery“- wrote Palikot.
Palikot's partner withdrew: In January, Maślanka, even before the attack launched on him by Palikot, announced that he did not intend to get further financially involved in the project. He explained that despite the desire to heal the company in the light of new facts, he and his advisors agree that “achieving the expected results restructuring (…) is impossible“.

The prosecutor's office brought eight charges against Janusz Palikot – seven of them concern suspected fraud and one of misappropriation. Palikot was supposed to lead to unfavorable disposal of the property of several thousand people for an amount nearly PLN 70 million.
