Jacek Czyż, a theater actor, and above all a dubbing actor, has died. He was 67 years old. He was known, inter alia, for voice-over of Tygryska from “Winnie the Pooh”. His son Aleksander Orsztynowicz-Czyż informed about the death of the actor.
“Dear, today my Dad has passed away. We will miss him the most, but I know that he is calmer now and he sings ‘oh yeah yeah’ in the best possible line-up.
The actor had been ill for several years. In 2017, he was hospitalized with a stroke, and later diagnosed with prostate cancer with bone metastases. He also suffered from partial amblyopia.
Known for many dubbing roles
Jacek Czyż was known primarily for his dubbing roles. He gave voice to, among others under Tygryska from “Winnie the Pooh”, he was the baboon-shaman Rafiki in “The Lion King” or Argus Filch in the series of films about “Harry Potter”.
He also lent his voice, among others in “Pocahontas”, “Mulan”, “Aladdin”, and “Spaceship Match”.
