Jarosław Kaczyński wants to isolate Jacek Kurski far from the country. Because if he became the vice-president of some Polish state-owned company, he would circulate around Warsaw, act, build his position – said Tomasz Siemoniak, MP of the Civic Coalition, on TVN24. Kurski is to start working at the World Bank.
The National Bank of Poland announced on Wednesdaythat Jacek Kurski – former president of state television – started working as Alternate Executive Director of the Swiss-Polish constituent assembly in the World Bank Group in Washington. The central bank announced that its candidacy was proposed by the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński, as the Governor of the Republic of Poland at the World Bank. In the position that Kurski will take, the salary amounts to over one million zlotys per year.
Siemoniak: The president is putting things in order before the elections
He talked about Kurski’s new job in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 Tomasz Siemoniak from the Civic Coalition. – I was very surprised. I thought it was some kind of mistake, that there is another one Jacek Kurski – He said.
– I look at the political sense of this action. It’s not about money, because in such a ranking of PiS’s fat cats, this salary at the World Bank is not high at all compared to Obajtek and others. If he was a member of the board of a state-owned company, he would probably earn more. The point is to get rid of him from Poland. I take it that way that a person from the top management PIS, having a huge impact on reality, is sent. Of course, to the golden cage – said Siemoniak.
But Kurski, he noted, “falls out of political circulation.” – Jacek Kurski is leaving Polish politics, he will probably want to return to it, but today Kaczyński wants to isolate him far from the country. Because if he became the vice-president of PZU or Orlen, he would circulate around Warsaw, act, build his position. The president puts the situation in order before the elections – said the TVN24 guest. In his opinion, “when things go wrong with PiS, Jacek Kurski will come back.”
– Of course, when we take power after the elections, all incompetent people must be dismissed, wherever they are. This is the seriousness of the Republic of Poland – added Siemoniak.
