While he did not take the same screen time as the six main characters of “Friends,” a comedy aired on NBC from 1994 to 2004, the series Gunther was and will remain a popular fan figure. The actor starred in almost 150 episodes.

Gunther worked as a waiter and manager at the “Central Perk” cafe, where the main characters of the series spent a lot of time. He had a crush on Rachel, played by Jennifer Aniston, who also served as a waitress in the early seasons.
