Jamie Foxx is apologizing for a social media submit that drew accusations of antisemitism.
On Aug. 4, the Oscar winner wrote on his Instagram web page, “THEY KILLED THIS DUDE JESUS… WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY’LL DO TO YOU???! #fakefriends #fakelove.” Following a backlash on social media, Foxx deleted the message and issued a press release.
“I need to apologize to the Jewish neighborhood and everybody who was offended by my submit,” Foxx wrote on his Instagram web page Aug. 5. “I now know my selection of phrases have triggered offense and I am sorry. That was by no means my intent.”
He then supplied an evidence. “To make clear, I used to be betrayed by a pretend pal and that is what I meant with ‘they’ not something extra,” he wrote. “I solely have love in my coronary heart for everybody. I like and help the Jewish neighborhood. My deepest apologies to anybody who was offended. Nothing however love all the time, Jamie Foxx.”
