Jan Baranik, Olinka's grandfather, is approaching the end of an exhausting journey

This journey, both in kilometers and zloty, is already counted in thousands. Little Olink's grandfather once again set off on an exhausting journey for his grandson, to raise money for his rehabilitation. We can already say that this initiative has been a success.

63-year-old Jan Baranik, Olinka's grandfather, set off from Ustroń on July 17. He covers about a hundred kilometers a day, returning to Ustroń on Sunday, after a month of travel.

On Friday, during a stop in Kraków, TVN24 reporter Mateusz Półchłopek met him. Olinka's grandfather said that he had already travelled about 3,400 kilometres. – Tomorrow we are going to Czechowice-Dziedzice and the day after tomorrow to Ustroń. Every kilometre for Olinka and I hope that every kilometre will bring the expected effect. Money for equipment, medicine and treatment for Olinka – said Jan Baranik.

This is yet another feat used by the grandfather to publicize his fundraising efforts for his grandson's expensive daily rehabilitation, medicines, and a new wheelchair. Last year, a man walked half a thousand kilometers in the Beskids.

The man himself struggles with health problems, including a spinal surgery. – I am not a healthy person, but what I wouldn't do to help my grandson. The route is definitely not easy, you have to deal with various adversities. However, what is very supportive are the people. Their warmth, openness and help on this route. It helps – he emphasized.
