– It can be said that Mateusz Morawiecki reported himself to the prosecutor's office, signing a decision on which tens of millions of zlotys were spent, without any legal basis – said the head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Jan Grabiec, about the former prime minister's consent to conducting envelope elections. He also commented on the latest spot of the Civic Platform, which aroused much controversy on Thursday.

He noted that the decision signed by the former prime minister was a “completely illegal decision.” – It can be said that Mateusz Morawiecki reported himself to the prosecutor's office by signing a decision in a very important case. A decision on which tens of millions of zlotys were spent, without any legal basis – he added.

He also stated that PIS explains this decision with the safety of Poles, while the point was “to hold elections here and now, because their candidate had high ratings in the elections.” – Today he is explaining this in a completely inept way and will be held responsible for it – said the guest of “Fakty po Faktach”.

PO spot. “The coincidence (of time – editor) with this situation in Slovakia is certainly not the happiest”

Grabiec was also asked about the latest spot of the Civic Platform, which had the description “Russia's greatest success in Poland is PiS!”. It starts with a pile of skulls, then a face Vladimir Putin is shown at a fast pace, alternating with the photo Jarosław Kaczyński. The less than one-minute-long material features the profiles of leading Law and Justice politicians.

The guest of “Fakty po Faktach” was asked whether he faced an attack on the Prime Minister Slovakia this is an appropriate model for a spot published before the elections.

– Every sentence said in this spot is a true sentence. We are in the middle of an election campaign in which people who implement Vladimir Putin's plan want to get into the European Parliament, Grabiec said. He did not answer the question whether he liked the video. He stated that “it is not a matter of aesthetics.”

Jan Grabiec about the Civic Platform spot

– We are after eight years of an organized system of pushing political emotions to extremes. It's not like this spot started anything, he said.

– The thesis is expressed directly and very strongly, even written on the screen: “Russia already exists.” PiS's rule has meant that Russian influence in Poland is greater than before, Grabiec said.

When asked if the spot was not similar to the way it was presented Donald Tusk in the government media under the previous team, he denied it. – I remember the image shown dozens of times where Donald Tusk had the crosshairs pointed at himself – he added.

Grabiec admitted that although he is not offended by the aesthetics of the spot, “the coincidence (of the time – editor) with this dramatic situation in Slovakia is certainly not the happiest.”

– We try very hard to apply certain limits even in harsh criticism. (…) I cannot imagine that in Poland, even after this situation in Slovakia, we would decide that we cannot criticize each other. However, I agree – there are certain limits that should not be crossed. This limit is dehumanization, humiliation of other people, regardless of their views, he added.

He added that the police are conducting several dozen proceedings “concerning intentions of physical aggression against Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed publicly or in private correspondence.” – Nevertheless, the Prime Minister functions normally, works normally, has a normal calendar – he noted.
