Jan Kanthak appointed new deputy minister of state assets

Jan Kanthak was appointed secretary of state in the Ministry of State Assets, the ministry informed on Friday. Previously, Kanthak worked, among others, at the Ministry of Justice.

“On November 12, Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin handed Jan Kanthak the appointment of the secretary of state in the Ministry of State Assets,” the ministry informed in a statement posted on the website.

On Friday, Deputy Prime Minister, the head of MAP Jacek Sasin wrote on Twitter: “Welcome to the Jan Kanthak Ministry of State Assets. Good luck.”

According to the resort’s website, Kanthak was born on September 20, 1991 in Gdańsk. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. During his studies, he did an internship at the European Parliament.

From 2016, he was employed at the Ministry of Justice. In the ministry, he was the secretary of the strategy team of the Ministry of Justice, dealing with, inter alia, preparing opinions and analyzes as well as advising on matters related to the implementation of strategic goals in the area of ​​the Minister’s activity. From June 2017, he was the head of the political cabinet and press spokesman in the Ministry of Justice.

In the 2018 local government elections, he was elected a councilor of the city of Gdańsk. In the City Council, he sat on the Sports and Tourism Committee and the Sustainable Development Committee.

In the parliamentary elections in 2019, he was elected to the Sejm of the 9th term in the Lublin constituency. He is a member of the Parliamentary Justice and Human Rights and Foreign Affairs Committees.
