Announcement by Daniel Obajtek
On Wednesday, the newly appointed Minister of State Assets Borys Budka said that “the resignation of Orlen’s president, Daniel Obajtek, seems to be an obvious step after his declarations. He emphasized that he expects such a decision to be made “very quickly.”
The president of Orlen in April this year. in RMF FM referred to a scenario in which Law and Justice loses power. He announced then that if the then opposition took power after the parliamentary elections, he would resign from office.
– I consider myself more of an entrepreneur, but I do not distance myself from politics in any way, because I am not a non-partisan specialist, like some people who join certain companies and immediately believe that they are non-partisan specialists. I have the courage to say: I am a manager, I manage a company, I am closer to business, but I am a member of Law and Justice and I am not afraid to say it and I will not hide it, stressed Obajtek.
The president of Orlen revealed what he would do if the opposition took power after the parliamentary elections. – I think it’s normal that they will thank me, because if the opposition announces things that are unrealistic: one lady talks about fuel price for five zlotys, and when you ask her how to do it, she says she doesn’t know, so I don’t want to manage Orlen, which will generally be managed by a regulated economy and will return to communism – he said Daniel Obajtek.
– I will not carry forward sick plans that will lead to the disaster of this country, so it is difficult for me to endorse it. I’ll go away myself, you won’t even have to thank me. I have my honor and my dignity, said Orlen’s president in April.
