The police detained a 40-year-old man who got into an argument with other customers in front of one of the restaurants in Janów Lubelski and later shot them several times with an air gun. One of the men was shot and taken to hospital. The aggressor was charged with bodily harm, endangerment and making threats.
The police reported that on Monday before 7 p.m., the officer on duty was notified of a shooting at one of the catering establishments in Janów Lubelski.
According to the officers’ preliminary findings, an argument broke out between several men while waiting for the order. “The brawling man at one point pulled out an object resembling a gun. Then the other men left the premises and waited for the order. When they took the order and wanted to drive away, the aggressor shot at their car, breaking the window. Then he pointed the gun at the 30th street. years old, injuring him in the head and leg,” said Staff Aspirant Faustyna Łazur, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Janów Podlaski, in a statement.

According to her, the injured 30-year-old was transported to hospital, his life is not in danger.

The police detained the attacker, who – according to the police – was a 40-year-old resident of the Janów Lubelski commune. The man was placed in police custody. “At the time of his arrest he was intoxicated, he had over one and a half per mille of alcohol in his body,” Łazur said.
The officers also seized an air weapon used by the man. She was sent for testing.
