At the entrance gate to the stud farm in Janów Podlaski (Lubelskie Voivodeship) there is a protest of employees who do not agree with the new president. Lucjan Cichosz, who was the head of the stud from September 2020, resigned because, as protesters say, he retired. They found out – as confirmed by the interested person herself in an interview with our reporter – that Hanna Sztuka is to take his place, who in November 2021 took over the management of the stud in Białka. Protesters hold a banner with the slogan “Books are for learning, stud is not for Art”.

– We found out this morning that they are changing our president. Just, day by day. The so-called “inspection” was supposed to arrive, but it turned out to be the new president – said Mariusz Kwiatkowski, an employee of the TVN24 camera horse farm in Janów Podlaski and a representative of local trade unions.

The new president – as they unofficially found out – is to be Hanna Sztuka, who in November 2021 took over the management of the stud in Białka.

From September 2020, the president of the stud was Lucjan Cichosz – Former Senator and PiS MP Lucjan Cichosz, who is a veterinarian by profession. He was the fifth president of the stud after 2016, after the dismissal of the long-term president Marek Trela.

He added that Lucjan Cichosz resigned because he was getting old. – It is known that we will not keep a president who is just going for a well-deserved one retirement Kwiatkowski said.

He emphasized that the employees hoped that the current deputy of Lucjan Cichosz would become the new president. And such a change will be accepted by the National Support Center for Agriculture.

– Lucjan Cichosz – as he promised us – took a deputy who is a veterinarian and knows very well about horse breeding. Today, unfortunately, after a month and a half, he had to resign – said our interlocutor.

The protesters announced that they would not let Hanna Sztuki into the stud area and would guard the gate. Also at night.

Our reporter, Mateusz Grzymkowski, managed to contact Hanna Sztuka, who confirmed that she had taken a managerial position at the stud.

– In this place, I see more or less 20-30 people and I know that not everyone will pass through this gate. First of all, Hanna Sztuka herself, who from today is formally the president of this well-known and world-famous stud farm – he stated in a live report.
