Before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the police officer on duty in Nowy Dwór Gdański received a report that a young man had disappeared underwater in the Baltic Sea in the town of Jantar. After about 20 minutes, tourists noticed him drifting. They pulled him to shore – informed the press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Nowy Dwór Gdański, junior cadet Karolina Figiel.

She reported that the Air Ambulance Service had arrived at the scene. The rescuers began resuscitation of the 23-year-old man. After intensive efforts, they managed to restore breathing, but the man was unconscious. An LPR helicopter landed on the beach.
