– The E&K company was recommended by one of the special services. by the Intelligence Agency. Then, in accordance with the procedure that was adopted, I obtained a positive opinion of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau – he said.

– And why did we decide to buy this at all? Because we had a clear expert opinion on this particular transaction, this particular equipment. We had the opinion of Professor Radosław Owczuk, who was a national consultant for anaesthesiology and intensive care – added Cieszyński.

He later said that “we were buying this equipment at a time when it was not available, and the purchase of this equipment was recommended by a national consultant.” – I signed a contract with a contractor who was verified by the institutions responsible for verifying the credibility of entities. I signed a contract for the goods that were needed at the time. In my opinion, there is no reason to apologize here – said the minister.
