The footage, shown by Japanese public broadcaster NHK, shows the moment the plane lands and suddenly bursts into flames.

NHK, citing local authorities, reports that the plane may have collided with another plane. Nippon TV reports that there may have been a collision with a Japanese Coast Guard aircraft.

A Japan Airlines spokesman said the plane from Shin-Chitose Airport in Hokkaido was carrying more than 300 passengers.
