Jarosław Gowin, at the request of the prime minister, is to be deprived of his office in the government. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, head of the Polish People’s Party, said on TVN24 that it “ends the seven-year stage of cooperation” within the United Right. In his opinion, “this is no longer a coalition, it is not serious governing.” – It is staying in power, not creating reality – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Government spokesman Piotr Mueller informed on Tuesday that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had dismissed Jarosław Gowin, asked the president to remove him from the post of deputy prime minister and head of the ministry of development, labor and technology. The Covenant leader described his resignation as the end of the United Right.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, president of the Polish People’s Party, commented on Gowin’s expulsion from the government on Wednesday morning. – We have a government of a shattered right, because it is no longer possible to talk about unification. Kosiniak-Kamysz predicted that the government “probably took the majority of votes – otherwise it cannot be defined – votes from independent deputies, from the Kukiz’15 circle, (…) but this is no longer a coalition, it is not serious governing” . – This is staying in power, not creating reality – emphasized the head of the peasants.

– How, being the head of a coalition party, deputy prime minister, minister, you find out that you are dismissed from TVN24, this is the moment when it is difficult to even talk to those with whom you collaborated – he said about Gowin.

The president of PSL also said that “PiS is definitely trotting” in all parliamentary clubs in search of votes. – The methods are mostly the same. Either a stick or a carrot. This is not new. I think they will be doing it now with all the politicians. Now, no matter what party someone is from, the voice is important – he said.

“The moment of stringing the string, humiliating the Agreement has been going on for a long time”

Kosiniak-Kamysz, when asked if he expected all Covenant politicians to leave the PiS club and ministries, replied: – There is no other way. Another way is that of total humiliation, and I think Jarosław Gowin cannot afford it.

– The moment of stringing the string, humiliating the Agreement has been going on for a long time. There were many cheeks already turned on by Gowin. Another one can not be added, because it is not there anymore – added Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Kosiniak-Kamysz: Gowin will vote with us in defense of free media

The head of the PSL expressed his conviction that Gowin would not support him the lex anti-TVN act. – Jarosław Gowin will vote with us in defense of free media, in defense of Polish-American relations, in defense of democracy and normality. I do not know how many of his Members will vote like this. I hope as much as possible – he said.

In his opinion, “leaving (from the government – ed.) After such a vote would be more spectacular, but Jarosław Kaczyński was aware of it and he was ahead of this move.”

– Jarosław Gowin was the only minister who recently met with very important representatives of the US administration. He was the only one who still had contact there, he could talk. Geopolitically, the entire strategy of the last six years of rule has just collapsed – assessed the TVN24 guest.

Kosiniak-Kamysz: we are open to cooperation with the Agreement

Kosiniak-Kamysz was also asked about possible cooperation between PSL and the Agreement. – It is natural to create your own space to act and cooperate with those who think alike. We are open to cooperation, actions in defense of freedom, democracy, defense of Polish entrepreneurs and submission of joint initiatives – he said.

– I want to build a centrist block. Certainly, Jarosław Gowin is closer to the center-right than to the liberal-left-wing bloc – he added.
