Who will be the PiS candidate for president? Jarosław Kaczyński expressed his conviction that if his party were to govern, Mariusz Błaszczak would be the president. The PiS chairman added that he is still on the list of candidates being considered. – We know what voters expect from a candidate and we have several people who meet these requirements – he said, noting that no decision has been made yet.

At Saturday's press conference, which was attended by Jaroslaw Kaczynski, Mariusz Blaszczak and Zbigniew Bogucki, president PIS was asked about a potential candidate for president. – I am convinced that if we were in power, this gentleman would be president – he said, pointing at Błaszczak.

– I have no doubts about that, but he stopped being the Minister of National Defense and therefore his media exposure has greatly diminished. There were also various other events – not his fault – to be clear – he added. He admitted that the chairman of the club is still on the list of candidates being considered for the presidency.

The PiS chairman stressed that he also highly values ​​MP Bogucki, because “he is a truly excellent man, with full competences”. He added that PiS is also considering other politicians, about whom “only a few people” know – including himself.

Kaczyński: We have several people who meet the requirements

– We know what voters expect from a candidate and we have several people who meet these requirements – said Kaczyński.

– Studies aimed at determining what Polish society expects from the president, what he should be like, were conducted a long time ago in various places and this creates one fairly coherent picture. However, it must be admitted that these are high requirements – he added. He noted that the decision has not yet been made and he cannot talk about specific names.
