Jarosław Kaczyński may point to early elections, more or less in the same way as a turkey calling for the Christmas holidays to come sooner – said Adrian Zandberg (Razem) in “Fakty po Faktach”. As he added, “if Law and Justice calls for early elections to be held now, it calls for their representation in parliament to be even smaller.” The program’s guests also referred to the announcement of changes to the constitution. – Without Mr. President, and without the consent of part of Law and Justice, it will be difficult to change the constitution and change the Constitutional Tribunal – said Urszula Pasławska (PSL).

In Saturday’s “Fakty po Faktach” MEP Robert Biedrońco-chairman of the New Left announced changes in the Constitutional Tribunal. – I think that in the coming days you will see changes in the Constitutional Tribunal. I have great confidence in the intuition and skills of the Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar. I think there will be specific actions regarding the Constitutional Tribunal. Political decisions have already been made, he said.

On Sunday, the guests of “Fakty po Faktach” – vice-president of PSL Urszula Pasławska and the leader of the Razem party Adrian Zandberg – were asked about his words.

– These decisions will be presented, I hope, in the next week – said Pasławska. She emphasized that “it should be borne in mind that these regulations are very difficult to implement.” – Without Mr. President, and without the consent of part of Law and Justice, it will be difficult to amend the constitution and make changes Constitutional Court – she assessed.

When asked whether a change to the constitution was necessary, she replied that “we need short and long-term goals here.” – My long-term goal would be to change the constitution. Perhaps already with the new president, perhaps with right-wing MPs who will look not only to the past, but also to the future, and (will want – editor) to jointly repair the Constitutional Tribunal, which is actually the source of corruption of the law, which has lost its independence. , independence and lost its political role altogether. He gave himself a completely different vision than that described in the constitution, Pasławska said.

Zandberg admitted that “given the arithmetic that is in the Sejm”, a constitutional reset “is difficult to imagine today.” – Part of PiS would have to be convinced. However, the natural host of the topic here is the Minister of Justice. And I understand that he will submit legislative proposals. There are no statutory proposals on the table for now, Zandberg said.

In his opinion, “the issue is that the issues of the rule of law in Poland are resolved in a lasting way.” – And this, in my opinion, is the biggest challenge facing, among others, Professor Bodnar, when it comes to preparing these proposals. But I think there will be time to comment on them when they appear, he said.

Pasławska: the president is losing respect in the eyes of many people

Pasławska also commented on the president’s actions Andrzej Duda. – I have this impression, a very sad impression of the last months of the presidency of Andrzej Duda, who treats his mission in a very specific way. On the one hand, it shelters criminals, on the other hand, it scares citizens that it will not sign the laws, (…) it threatens that these laws may not come into force. And people today are waiting for specific changes, Pasławska said. According to her, the president “is losing respect in the eyes of many people.”

– But we as Polish People’s Party We respect the people who elected him and because of this respect, we will try to enter into dialogue with the president, Pasławska said.

She also referred to the fact that the president has still not appointed new members of the National Electoral Commission. – This also proves that he works only on behalf of Law and Justice. Today he has become a face in general, he has come to the fore of the fight against the democratic parties, the fight against the government, because in this case it may turn out that one commission will start elections, and the second one will be finishing. This will be chaos for which President Duda will be responsible, she warned.

Zandberg: PiS has difficult months, even years, ahead of it

– We have a problem with this presidency, but I would not personalize it, because of course we are all used to the fact that Andrzej Duda is the president and therefore what is happening happens. But it’s also a bit like our presidency in Poland is designed in such a way that the president can’t really do anything except obstruct. Because there is no real positive initiative in the exercise of power, Zandberg said.

He also referred to the words of the PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński, who recently stated in the Sejm that “we have an emergency situation and the constitution has practically ceased to apply.” – The solution is a transition period, of course with a new government, and then elections. This cannot be solved otherwise, Kaczyński argued.

– Mr. Kaczyński may point to early elections in more or less the same way as a turkey calling for an early Christmas, commented Zandberg.

According to him, “Law and Justice is in a tailspin.” – If Law and Justice calls for early elections to be held now, then calls for their representation in parliament to be even smaller. This is also visible in the kind of panic that is taking place at the bottom in Law and Justice, said Zadnerg. As he added, “everyone knows that PiS will lose these local elections.”

– It’s worth saying it because not everyone is aware of it. Law and Justice currently has as much power in local governments as a cat cried. Probably the largest city where PiS is currently in power is Chełm. After these local elections, I suspect that they will not maintain this power even in Chełm, said the leader of the Razem party.

In his opinion, “Law and Justice has rather difficult months ahead of it, and probably also difficult years.”
