Mateusz Morawiecki would have a certain entry into the second round in the presidential elections, but winning it would be the result of some miracle – said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Radio Maryja. He added that the former head of government would be the candidate “who is very easy to attack”.

Kaczyński assessed that Morawiecki has a strong position in the party and “certainly broad support among a certain part of the activists who have become accustomed to him”. He noted that his position in PIS the former prime minister “worked hard”. According to the PiS chairman, Morawiecki is a candidate who is very easy to attack. “Mateusz Morawiecki is burdened with the function of prime minister and making difficult decisions. This means that he is certain to enter the second round, but winning it would be the result of some miracle,” the PiS chairman stated.

“On the other hand, if due to some other miracle we were faced with the possibility of appointing a prime minister, it would undoubtedly be Morawiecki. Therefore, the expectations that I often hear in the party to get rid of him are irrational,” Kaczyński emphasized.
