This is a symbolic scene (…) and a statement in the context of Mr. Cieszyński who is standing there – said Dariusz Joński (KO) in “Kropka nad i”. He referred to the words of Jarosław Kaczyński, who said that “if someone commits abuse, he loses his position and the prosecutor deals with it.” Next to him at that time stood the PiS candidate in the elections and member of the government, Janusz Cieszyński. It is associated with the so-called the ventilator scandal, in connection with which the Supreme Audit Office submitted three notifications to the prosecutor’s office this week. As Piotr Zgorzelski (PSL) emphasized, NIK “is increasingly showing various types of materials that expose the PiS power to the very bottom.”
On Wednesday in Elbląg, PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński spoke among other things, that we are a country where “mistakes are made”. – Because only those who do nothing make no mistakes. There are also abuses. There is only this fundamental difference – if someone commits abuse in our country, he loses his position and the prosecutor deals with it, he said. At that time, he was standing next to the PiS president Janusz Cieszyńskicurrent Minister of Digital Affairs and former Deputy Minister of Health, who is running for the Sejm on the PiS list.

Ionian: This is a symbolic scene and statement
The guests of “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 – MP of the Civic Coalition Dariusz Joński and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Piotr Zgorzelski from the Polish People’s Party – were asked about the coincidence of the president’s statement and Cieszyński’s presence in the context of the latest report of the Supreme Audit Office.
On Tuesday, NIK presented the results of three audits regarding the preparations and actions of state authorities, institutions and services in connection with the epidemic COVID-19. According to the Chamber, “respirators were purchased that were incomplete, defective or did not meet Polish standards” and “the complicated, multi-stage procedure created a corruption mechanism.” The Chamber submitted three notifications to the prosecutor’s office regarding the purchase of respirators. Janusz Cieszyński was responsible for these transactions.

As Joński said, “this is a symbolic scene, a photo, and a statement in the context of Mr. Cieszyński, who is standing there.”
– Well: April 2020, pandemic, we are all at home, parks are closing, the minister (Łukasz) Szumowski He says they have everything under control, but we have to wait. Suddenly, one day, a man enters the Ministry of Health and it turns out that he is on the UN blacklist. He previously dealt in weapons. And Mr. Cieszyński signs a contract with him. On the same day, he transfers PLN 160 million to this man – recalled the KO MP.

According to him, it was known that this person “would not provide respirators.” – This man has not settled his accounts, and Szumowski says (…) that every zloty will go back to the budget. The money didn’t come back, but they came back. Mr. Cieszyński is the leader of PiS’s list for the Sejm – emphasized the TVN24 guest.
As MP Joński said, “during the times of PiS and Solidarna Polska, no minister or deputy minister responded criminally.” – What’s more, none of them even have any charges. Although we have submitted numerous complaints regarding Mr. Cieszyński (notification – editor’s note) – he added.
Zgorzelski: NIK is increasingly showing materials that expose PiS power
Zgorzelski, however, pointed out that “Supreme Chamber of Control increasingly often shows various types of materials that expose the PiS power to the very bottom.
– NIK is something that can be called the eyes and ears of the Sejm. And in fact, they control various institutions on behalf of the MPs. And I will say something that may even surprise some: that the quality of the Supreme Audit Office, these fuses for directors and controllers, was largely taken care of by, among others, one of the previous presidents of the Supreme Audit Office, professor Lech Kaczynski – he continued.
He noted that the Chamber’s audit conclusions also show that PLN 7 billion was spent on Covid hospitals where there were “empty beds”, and PLN 9 billion on the so-called Covid benefits, the system of which – according to the Supreme Audit Office – was defective.
