The president of Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński, referred to the issue of the judiciary during the Saturday program conference in Końskie. He stated that “there is a tendency to transfer power to institutions that are beyond any control.” – Nobody chooses them, nobody can do anything to them – he said, adding that “the courts are this institution.” – We reject this type of aspirations, regardless of whether they come from courts, other institutions or the so-called elites – he said.
During Saturday’s programming convention in Końskie, Jaroslaw Kaczynski presented several election promises, but also said that according to PiS the most important thing is freedom of participation, i.e. – as he explained – combined with democracy and opportunity choice.
– It consists in participating in power either directly, as in a referendum, or indirectly, such as through elections, the appointment of a parliament, and at a lower level, local government councils – said Kaczyński.
He also said that “every man must have his own sphere of freedom” and “it is not the task of the state, nor the task of any social groups or even individuals to take away this freedom.”
He went on to say that “there is a tendency to question this and to give power to all sorts of institutions that are beyond any control.”
He assessed that courts are one of them. – Nobody chooses them, nobody can do anything to them. Most often – this is a very strong tendency in our entire civilization today – this institution is the courts. We reject this type of aspirations, regardless of whether they concern courts or other institutions, groups or so-called elites. Power is in the hands of the people, commented the Deputy Prime Minister.
