When it comes to the issue of torturing Mariusz Kamiński, Jarosław Kaczyński is talking nonsense – said the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, on Friday on Radio Three, referring to the words of the PiS president in the Sejm. – I understand that it is difficult for him to endure a situation in which he cannot give orders to the entire state without any procedure, but that is how it will be – added the KO politician.

The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, was asked on Friday on Polish Radio Program 3, among others: the words of PiS politician Mariusz Kamiński, who in an interview for wPolsce.pl stated that the detention in the Presidential Palace was a “demonstration of force” and that “it was a decision at the government level, probably by Mr. Kierwiński, to make such a show of force against the president whom the current regime cannot tolerate the opposition.

The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, referring to these words, recalled that former MPs Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik were convicted by a final court judgment. – I listen to what they say and I have the impression that they really want to be political martyrs, but they are not martyrs. They were convicted of exceeding their powers and the Polish police only implemented the court’s verdict. If someone wants to see what happened as a demonstration, an extreme demonstration was that two convicted people were in the Presidential Palace – said Marcin Kierwiński

In his opinion, “the president pardoned his former political buddies.” – These gentlemen were convicted of exceeding their powers, for using power against ordinary citizens, and there is no worse official crime than this – said Kierwiński.

When asked whether the police had not violated any law by entering the Presidential Palace, he emphasized that the entire police action was carried out properly. – The police were obliged to carry out the arrest after the court’s decision. If she did not do this, someone could accuse the police of failing to fulfill their duties. From what I know, the police informed the president’s office about this, asking it for support in the implementation of Polish law, Kierwiński said.

“Mr. Kaczyński is just talking nonsense”

The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration was also asked about words of PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński, who on Thursday, in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm, accused the authorities of using torture against Mariusz Kamiński. The PiS president also stated that Kamiński felt bad after leaving prison and that he was tortured. Jarosław Kaczyński also said that there was an emergency situation in which “the constitution practically ceased to apply and therefore various methods can be used.”

– When it comes to the issue of torture, Mr. Kaczyński is simply talking nonsense. I understand that it is difficult for him to bear the situation in which he cannot give orders to the entire state without any procedure, that it is difficult for him to come to terms with it, but that is how it will be, Mr. Kaczyński. Now the law is back, the Constitution and the validity of the Constitution are back, said the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration.

Kierwiński: it is clear that Ziobro’s nominees have a lot on their conscience

Kierwiński was also asked about the situation in the National Prosecutor’s Office. – When he sees how prosecutors and Ziobro’s appointees defend themselves against Minister Bodnar’s compliance with Polish law, he knows that they have a lot on their conscience – he replied.

He also reminded that everyone is bound by the law. – I know that many prosecutors and Mr. Ziobro’s appointees carried out political orders, but those times are gone and no one will be absolved for obvious violations of the law. The law will be applied, and those who break the law, regardless of what kind of officials they are, will be held accountable, Kierwiński said.
