A hybrid war is taking place on the eastern border, said PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński, speaking in Krakow on the occasion of Independence Day. As he added, “we also have a big problem in the West.” – It is about recognizing our subjectivity, our right to organize Polish affairs – he explained. – It’s difficult, but it’s hard compared to what it was 103 years ago, it’s nothing. It really only depends on us whether we can make it, he said.
– The way of combining courage, action, readiness to suffer the greatest sacrifices, including life sacrifices, combined with thinking and willingness to cooperate, at least temporarily, even those who differed greatly and disliked each other very much, all this was the source of an extraordinary act , which was the construction of a large Polish state in the center of Europe – said Deputy Prime Minister, PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński during his speech in Krakow.
As he emphasized, “this is something we can be proud of, that we must always remember, also – and perhaps especially – today, when a hybrid war is taking place on the eastern border.” – There have even been some deeper threats recently. Of course, as is usual in such cases, attempts are being made to shift the responsibility to us as an allegedly aggressive country, he said, referring to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, where the migration crisis continues.
In the opinion of the PiS chairman, “we also have a big problem in the West”. – It is about recognizing our subjectivity, it is about the judgment of the Tribunal, about our right to organize Polish cases – he explained. – It is difficult, but remember that it is difficult compared to what it was 103 years ago, it is nothing. It really depends only on us whether we can make it – said Kaczyński.
Kaczyński: we must build unity in the political class
During his speech, the head of Law and Justice emphasized that everything should be done to build “the widest possible unity in the so-called political class”. – Today it seems completely impossible that this tension, this reluctance, and on the other hand – as many indicate – external inspirations may make it impossible. But you have to try. You have to know that we know that it is necessary, that it is necessary, that it is possible – said Kaczyński.
He pointed out that in the face of the threat on the border with Belarus, such unity had taken place in Lithuania and Latvia, so “we can do it”. He assured that there would be no obstacles on the part of PiS in this matter if the goal was common.
Kaczyński: our goodness cannot be a weakness
– Apart from the external “front”, we also have the internal one. It is not just about politicians, although they are often behind it. It is also about the interaction of external forces. Yesterday I said it too: in times of crises, beware of agents. You have to beware, you have to recognize them and know that the battle that is taking place at the moment is a battle, first of all, for awareness – said Jarosław Kaczyński.
As he added, “the point is to use noble reflexes and the beautiful feeling of empathy to crush our resistance.” – It can’t work. Poles are a good nation, sometimes even too good and too easily forgiving. But this goodness cannot be weakness. We must remember that everything we do at the border is completely in line with the principle that can be derived from empathy: those who need help receive this help, he argued.
Deputy Prime Minister, PiS president added that “you cannot think and act in the direction that we are in fact guilty of the misfortune of many people who have been deceived and brought to Belarus and are actually suffering today”. – It’s not us, it’s those who attack ours today, it’s those who imagine that they can break us. They will not be able to – said Jarosław Kaczyński, speaking in Krakow.
