Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on the X platform that, in his opinion, “people in power should especially respect the law and be responsible for any violation of it.” He emphasized that this applies “even to the president.”

Parliament on Friday conducted two votes regarding the immunity of Jarosław Kaczyński. MPs agreed to hold the PiS president criminally liable in connection with activist Zbigniew Komosa accusing him of assault. However, they did not waive the immunity of the PiS president for destroying a wreath during the celebration of the one-month anniversary of the Smolensk disaster.

Kaczyński admitted to journalists that he expected such a decision from the Sejm. He added that he was “not particularly worried about it.” – When we come back to power, there will be proper courts and then it will be possible to do it – he replied to the comment that he would have the opportunity to defend his arguments in court.
