Guests of “Kawa na ławę” discussed the words of the PiS chairman, who said that “he would be very happy if Mariusz Błaszczak became his successor”. According to Katarzyna Kotula from the Left, “Jarosław Kaczyński will definitely anoint someone, but that could still change”. – Kaczyński wants to generate chaos, conflict in his party and engage public debate, engage attention and politicians – assessed Michał Wawer from the Confederation.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski was asked in an interview for Radio Maryja, who could take over the presidency of PiS after him. – I would be very happy if that Mariusz Blaszczak became my successor as the president of Law and Justice – he said. He emphasized that it was not “a specific directive of the party's senior” and that the final decision would be made by the PiS congress.

Ociepa: I sincerely congratulate Błaszczak on the president's unlimited trust

PiS MP Marcin Ociepa said that “this is not a surprising statement, contrary to what he is trying to suggest”. – Mariusz Błaszczak is the vice-president of Law and Justice, he was the deputy prime minister, he was a great minister of national defense, he has a very high level of public trust, therefore he is a natural candidate for the leader of Law and Justice – he stated.

– The president clearly indicated that Mariusz Błaszczak enjoys his boundless trust. Very good, I sincerely congratulate him on that – added Ociepa.

Rzepecki: as long as Kaczyński is in the party, he will be the leader 100%

Were PiS MPand currently advisor to the president Andrzej Duda Łukasz Rzepecki said that he looked at Kaczyński's statement “with a pleasant smile” because “he knows Law and Justice from the inside”.

– I know that all decisions that are made, the most important ones, are made with the approval and consent of Mr. President Jarosław Kaczyński. It is Mr. President Jarosław Kaczyński who decides about everything, including personal matters. It is natural that his closest associate for a dozen or so years, Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak (…), is considered a candidate – he added.

He noted that “as long as Mr. Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński is in this party, he will be the leader one hundred percent.”

Mucha: Kaczyński wanted to pet his favorite

– It's a waste of our time to analyze the situation in which Mr. President Kaczyński wanted to pet his favorite. I only see it in these categories – said Joanna Mucha from Poland 2050.

In her opinion, “no one probably believes that after Jarosław Kaczyński's departure someone would choose Mr. Błaszczak”. – Błaszczak is a person without qualities. He is the kind of person who is ideally suited to be a spy, because he is so unrecognizable that no one will remember him. He is not someone who can be a political leader – she assessed.

– In addition, I would like to note that Mr. Kaczyński has recently made such an appointment, for example, to the Marshal of the Małopolska Province, and the structures (local PiS – ed.) did nothing about it – Mucha added.

Arłukowicz: I have two options for the PiS leader

Bartosz Arłukowicz from KO commented on the statements of Ociepa and Rzepecki. – I'm sitting here on the other side of the table and I can see how the guys are squirming to explain that Błaszczak is a good idea for the leader of PiS – he said. – It's so cabaret and so irrational that MP Ociepa had problems answering this question – he stated.

– I have my candidates for PiS leaders. First of all, Marek Suski. I am his biggest fan. He is an outstanding political intellect and a very efficient politician. Very loyal to the chairman. The second one is platoon leader Krasulski, sitting behind the chairman. For me, these are two types for the leader of PiS – said Arłukowicz.

Kotula: everyone is waiting to see what will happen when the president gives up power

– President Jarosław Kaczyński will definitely anoint someone, but I think that this may still change – she said Catherine Kotula from the Left.

– We have had examples of PiS having many internal factions. Everyone is just waiting to see what will happen when the president relinquishes power. We in the coalition will buy ourselves popcorn on October 15 and watch the struggles fiercely – she added.

Wawer: PiS will end when Jarosław Kaczyński retires

Michał Wawer from the Confederation said that “20 years ago, when Jarosław Kaczyński was in great shape, there was talk about who would be his successor”. – If Jarosław Kaczyński wanted to have a successor and ensure the continuity of PiS, he would have appointed someone and consistently introduced him to leadership in his camp over the years. And Jarosław Kaczyński obviously does not do that – he stated.

– Jarosław Kaczyński is interested in generating chaos, conflict in his party with such insertions (…) and engaging public debate, engaging the attention of both politicians and viewers in what is happening in PiS. Jarosław Kaczyński will not appoint any successor. PiS will end the moment Jarosław Kaczyński goes to retirement – stated the politician.
