In the market square in Jaworzno, one man was calling another man names. A father with his 10-year-old son came out of a nearby cafe and defended the attacked person. The aggressor then pulled out a gun and threatened to kill them, and then fled. He was arrested thanks to a detailed description and a district officer who knows the residents of his area.
The incident took place at the end of last week in the market square in Jaworzno.
– It started with verbal attacks. A man was calling another man names in the market square – describes Justyna Wiszowaty, spokeswoman for the police in Jaworzno.
It was around 8 p.m. A father with his 10-year-old son came out of a nearby cafe and – as Wiszowaty reports – defended the attacked man.
Then the aggressor threatened the men with death, pulled out a gun and aimed it at them.

The police were called and district officers arrived at the scene. The aggressor was no longer there. But the attacked man helped them reach him.
– He described him precisely and saw which block he entered. Moreover, the district officer guessed who it was based on the description, because he knows the inhabitants of his area well – explains Wiszowaty.
The police detained a 36-year-old man. In his apartment they found a bag containing a pistol with a gas cartridge. The 36-year-old was taken into police custody. At the request of investigators and the prosecutor’s office, the court arrested him for three months. The suspect faces up to two years in prison for making criminal threats.
