A 45-year-old man drove his car into a building and a measuring box in Jedlina-Zdrój (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). It turned out that the man had over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his body.

The incident occurred on Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. at ul. Moniuszko in Jedlina-Zdrój. There, the driver of the car drove into the facade of the building, hitting a measuring box next to it. After a while, the man drove away.

Knowing the vehicle's registration number, its make and the direction in which it was traveling, the officers began checking the nearby area. The search didn't take long.

The man had 2.5 per mille of alcohol

“Not far from the scene of the incident, near the railway crossing, they found the vehicle and the perpetrator. Sobriety tests conducted on the driver showed that his body contained over 2.5 per mille of alcohol,” the Wałbrzych police say.

Additionally, the 45-year-old was banned from driving by the court.

Driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol is punishable by up to three years in prison. However, by additionally violating the court's driving ban, the 45-year-old risked imprisonment of up to five years. In accordance with current regulations, his car was taken away.
