He drove his car to the police station in connection with the proceedings against him regarding driving while intoxicated and – as the policewoman quickly noticed – he was drunk. The man captured by the surveillance camera will now appear in court.
The day before, the man was detained in Piechowice for road control. The examination carried out then showed that he had nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. The officers confiscated his driver’s license. He was to report to the police station the next day. And so he did, but…
He claimed to be sober
– The police officer conducting the investigation smelled the smell of alcohol from the man, although he claimed to be sober. The examination showed that he had close to the per mille in his body. The man came in his car, which he parked next to the police station, which was recorded by surveillance cameras, said the young asp. Tomasz Nowak from the Lower Silesian Police.
The 31-year-old will appear in court. He is facing a penalty of up to two years in prison, a driving ban and a heavy fine.
