Police officers in Jelenia Góra (Lower Silesia) detained a 19-year-old courier who was stealing customer parcels. The thief stole cell phones worth nearly PLN 15,000.
Police officers in Jelenia Góra detained a 19-year-old man suspected of stealing parcels belonging to customers of a courier company.
“A man working as a courier in one of the companies, between November 11 and 20 this year, stole parcels worth nearly PLN 15,000 five times. His loot included mobile phones,” says Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska from the Jelenia Góra police in a statement.
A representative of the company where the man worked notified the police. Based on recordings from surveillance cameras, the officers managed to detain a 19-year-old man.
The police found most of the stolen items in his apartment. It turned out that the thief had managed to sell one of the phones.
He heard the charges
The man has already been charged in this case. Now he may face up to 5 years in prison.
