PKP Intercity has suspended train traffic on the Jelenia Góra – Szklarska Poręba Górna section (Lower Silesia Province) and on the Prudnik – Nysa section (Opole Province). As PKP Intercity explains, the reason is difficult weather conditions.
On Saturday, September 14th PKP Intercity has published a statement in which it informed about disruptions in train traffic due to heavy rainfall in southern Poland.
Train traffic on the Jelenia Góra – Szklarska Poręba Górna section in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship has been suspended.
“IC train no. 1650/1 Śnieżka on the Warszawa Wschodnia – Szklarska Poręba Górna route was cancelled Jelenia Góra – Szklarska Poręba Górna. A replacement bus service was organised on the cancelled section,” we read in the announcement.
The same train back, i.e. Szklarska Poręba Górna – Warszawa Wschodnia, was also cancelled, and replacement bus transport was also organised for passengers.
Suspended and canceled trains in Opole Province
According to PKP Intercity, due to difficult weather conditions, train traffic was also suspended on the Prudnik – Nysa section in the Opole Voivodeship.
The TLK train no. 63102 Sudety on the Jelenia Góra – Kraków Główny Nysa – Prudnik route has also been cancelled. As PKP Intercity adds, the TLK train no. 36106 Szczeliniec on the Kraków Główny – Jelenia Góra route will also not arrive on the Prudnik – Jelenia Góra section. On these sections, replacement bus transport has been provided.
