The painting works of the outstanding Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski are presented at the Berlinale festival in the German capital. His film “IO” will fight for an Oscar this year. Skolimowski is primarily known as a director and screenwriter, and his painting activity is less known. Ewelina Witenberg talked to him about his work. – Painting is very important, I don’t know if it’s not the most important thing at all, because it’s really my individual work – said the artist, adding at the same time that the film is a “collective work”.

– Hi guys, we haven’t known each other for a good dozen or so years – said Skolimowski during the conversation, looking at the picture he had painted.
