I have the impression that both the structures of Poland 2050 and the structures of PSL today are very much wondering whether the Third Way project should be continued or not – said Joanna Mucha from Poland-2050, deputy minister of education, in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24, referring to to the results of the European Parliament elections. She added that “it is worth considering” whether and in what form this coalition will continue.

The Civic Coalition won the European Parliament elections, gaining 37.06 percent of support. Law and Justice came second – 36.16 percent. The podium is closed by Confederation, supported by 12.08 percent of voters. Third Road won 6.91 percent of support and the Left Party received 6.3 percent of support. Third Way's result in the October parliamentary elections was more than twice as good – it amounted to 14.4 percent.

This matter was discussed in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 by Joanna Mucha from Polish 2050, representative of the Third Way, deputy minister of education, and Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz, representative of the Civic Coalition, former MP, who has now been elected to the European Parliament.

Mucha was asked about the future of the Third Way. she said that “it is worth considering” whether and in what form this coalition will continue.

– I have the impression that both the structures of Poland 2050 and the structures of PSL today are very much wondering whether this project should be continued or not. And it seems to me that neither one nor the other party has made a decision on this issue yet, she said.

– I can tell you what I think. I have the impression that this project was necessary to win against PiS. And I have the impression that we have become so blurred in this project, (…), I have the impression that we had a hook at the back that was dragging us down precisely because the coalition partner has dramatically different views from us in a very many issues. “I think we need to get back to our expressiveness,” she said.

When asked how cooperation between Poland 2050 and PSL would change, she replied: – I don't know. Perhaps we will relax our coalition cooperation. Perhaps we will allow ourselves to breathe more. Perhaps we will allow ourselves to be more expressive.
