– Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz in relation to the supervised public radio and television broadcasting companies, he acted on the basis and within the limits of the powers specified in the Act of September 15, 2000 – Commercial Companies Code. End of story, full stop, this is the answer to the question about what law we used, she said.

She also addressed PiS politicians who accused the government of “lawlessness” regarding changes in public media.

– It was illegal for one of TVP’s employees to pretend to be the president of TVP. The occupation of the Television Information Agency building was illegal and very expensive. The actions of some former TVP employees for the benefit of a competing station also seem to be unlawful. It was also unlawful for Mr. to impersonate himself [posła PiS Pawła – red.] A scolding for a policeman and entering the office at the TVP headquarters. It was also unlawful for you, Mr. Macierewicz, to hit an employee of the Polish Press Agency. It was illegal and scandalous, Scheuring-Wielgus said from the podium.

– What is also illegal and immoral is the salary your colleagues, Law and Justice officers, have received over the last eight years. If we are talking about lawlessness, then this lawlessness was on the state’s side, she added.

She emphasized that “public television belongs to all of us, Polish women and men.” – Public television is not a tool of only one party. There should be no situations when the president of one party calls the head of public television at night. Ladies and gentlemen, such situations will no longer occur. Neither Tusk, nor Czarzasty, nor Biedroń, nor Kosiniak-Kamysz, nor Hołownia will ever call the president of TVP at any time – assured the deputy minister.

Macierewicz: this nice lady was lying all the time

Later, Antoni Macierewicz from PiS came to the podium and said he wanted to submit a formal motion. Initially, Deputy Marshal Bosak did not want to let him speak. -She can lie about me and I can’t answer? So you are blocking the truth? – he turned to Bosak.

– I will make a formal motion in a moment, but right now I want to say that this nice lady has been lying all along. They hit me, they tried to beat me, but I didn’t even touch anyone. You are simply cheating, accused Scheuring-Wielugs. Ultimately, he did not submit a formal application and returned to his seat.
