Intervention “unnecessary, disproportionate, inadequate”

The case was commented on TVN24 by Przemysław Rosati, chairman of the Polish Bar Council. He was asked whether, in his opinion, the Thursday press conference at the Police Headquarters explained the manner in which the police officers behaved in the event of this intervention. – Only that we are becoming more and more convinced that this intervention was unnecessary. I think it was done incorrectly.

According to Przemysław Rosati, the police officers in the medical office “exceeded the scope of their competence” and their intervention “was unnecessary, disproportionate, and inadequate.” – In my opinion, it was also absolutely unjustified, because let’s remember that there was not even a suspicion of committing any crime in the background – he added.

How should policemen behave?

– The police officers should have behaved only in terms of some support that the doctor might need, if, of course, the doctor decided to do so. It is the doctor in such circumstances who decides to what extent the police can support him – continued the chairman of the Polish Bar Council.

According to the TVN24 guest, the Thursday conference at KGP was “completely unnecessary”. – There is a very simple rule, (…), an old, well-known saying. I am thinking here that “silence is golden”. And I think it was simply missing – said Przemysław Rosati.
