There is a mental leadership crisis in the police force. If a guy fires a grenade launcher in his office, today the police officers will obviously not say it openly, but most of them laugh at it – said the leader of the Agreement, a former police officer Magdalena Sroka, in “One for One”, referring to the conduct of the officers and the comments of the Chief of Police in the case of Mrs. Joanna from Krakow. – What example do they have if the commander is the perpetrator of such an act and nothing happens to him, there is no procedure, no one makes him take off his underpants, crouch and cough – she asked.
In recent days, there has been a discussion about the case of Joanna, who decided to take an abortion pill because the pregnancy was supposed to threaten her health. She felt bad both physically and mentally. She informed her doctor about it. In the Krakow hospital, she was interrogated and searched by the police. The officers took her laptop and phone. The case was presented by “Fakty” TVN.

Courtexamining a complaint about taking the phone and ordering its return, reminded the police that Mrs. Joanna was not a suspect, nor was she even considered to be charged.
Jarosław Szymczyk, the chief of the police, presented recordings at a press conference, which recorded a call to the emergency number by Mrs. Joanna’s doctor and the receipt of a report in this case by the police. When asked by TVN24 about the actions taken by the police in the hospital, Szymczyk replied that “this is a normal procedure for people who we suspect want to take their own lives.”
“Today I just made sure that the police were hunting me for an abortion. I never said my mood was about abortion. I made it over a week before calling the doctor – Joanna commented on Thursday’s police press conference in an interview. Her attorney announced that she would submit a notification to the prosecutor’s office in connection with the actions of the police.
Sroka: There is a mental leadership crisis in the police force
The case in “One to One” was commented on by the leader of the Agreement, former police officer Magdalena Sroka. – Let’s put together two cases – the commander in chief of the police, who brings a grenade launcher from a war-torn country to the territory of the Republic of Poland and fires it in his office. Does it pose a threat to the life and health of many people – she asked.
On the other hand, she continued, there is Mrs. Joanna, “who takes an abortifacient, does not commit any crime, is treated by the officers as a person who would at least be charged”. – I mean, for example, searches by police officers, orders to undress when she really needed help, because that’s why she was in the hospital – she explained.
– In my opinion, we are dealing with a mental crisis of leadership in the police. If a guy fires a grenade launcher from his office, the cops today won’t openly say it, of course, but most of them laugh about it. What example do they have if the commander is the perpetrator of such an act and nothing happens to him, there is no procedure, no one makes him take off his underpants, crouch and cough – she added.
