Aleje Jerozolimskie, Wybrzeże Gdańskie, Śląsko-Dąbrowski bridge – these are some places covered by the ban on the transport of dangerous goods and the movement of non-standard vehicles, related to the visit of “people under the protection of the State Protection Service” – reported the press office of the Masovian Voivode Konstanty Radziwiłł. The restrictions are related to the visit of US President Joe Biden to Poland.

As emphasized in the communication, the ban is in force from February 20 from 12 noon to February 22 until 9 pm. In the area covered by the restrictions, it is not allowed to transport the following materials: explosive, flammable and pyrophoric, poisonous, radioactive, corrosive and other materials specified in the Act on Road Transport of Goods dangerous. “Breach of the ban is punishable by a fine,” it was noted.

The ban on the transport of dangerous goods and the movement of non-standard vehicles applies to:

Żwirki i Wigury, ul. Krzycki, ul. Raszyńska, Al. Jerozolimskie on the section from Plac Zawiszy to Most Poniatowski, Emilii Plater on the section from Świętokrzyska to Nowogrodzka, Nowogrodzka on the section from Emilia Plater to Chałubiński, Chałubiński on the section from Emilia Plater to Al. Jerozolimskie, Wybrzeże Gdańskie on the section from the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge to ul. Sanguszki, Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie on the section from Karowa to the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge, Nowy Zjazd, ul. Grodzka, ul. Bugaj, ul. Pain, ul. New World, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście, Senatorska, ul. Miodowa, ul. Podwale, Plac Zamkowy, Aleja Solidarności and the WZ Route tunnel;

Śląsko-Dąbrowski, Świętokrzyskie, Poniatowski;

Mosto Średnicowy railway line No. 448 and long-distance railway line No. 2 at a length of 1 kilometer from Most Średnicowy in each direction, the railway line running under the viaduct at ul. Żwirki i Wigury (located near 1 Sierpnia Street);

As summarized, the ban does not apply to: the State Protection Service, the State Fire Service, the Police, the Polish Armed Forces, the Internal Security Agency, the Foreign Intelligence Agency, the Customs and Tax Service, the Prison Service, the Military Counterintelligence Service, the Military Intelligence Service, the Border Guard and escorted transport by these services.

US President’s visit to Poland

At the beginning of next week US President Joe Biden will visit Poland. Announcing the visit, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden would meet with President Andrzej Duda to discuss bilateral cooperation and our collective efforts to support Ukraine and strengthen NATO’s deterrence. Biden is also scheduled to meet other leaders of the Bucharest Nine.

Biden will arrive in Poland on Tuesday. The visit will last until Wednesday, February 22. He will speak on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m speech in Arkady Kubicki in the gardens of the Royal Castle.
