Indian Prime Minister in Ukraine
During a visit to Ukraine – the first since the full-scale Russian invasion – Modi told President Zelensky that his country wanted to contribute to ending the war.
– I want to tell you and the whole world that this is our conviction and our commitment, and we say it very loudly and clearly – that we support respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity (of Ukraine – ed.). This is of great importance to us – added the head of the Indian government.
An Indian government statement issued after the meeting said Modi gave an account of his visit to Ukraine and “reiterated India's full support for an early return to peace and stability.”
