Lengthy have been the nights that John Mayer has needed to reply for “Pricey John.”

And on the eve of Taylor Swift‘s Communicate Now (Taylor’s Model)‘s launch, which incorporates a re-recorded version of the track, it seems to be like the song’s accepted subject had a message for Swifties.

John took a second to mirror on three nights of {Dead} & Firm exhibits—his band with a number of surviving Grateful {Dead} members—at Folsom Area in Boulder, Colorado. On the finish of his July 6 carousel of images was a shot of drones spelling out the phrases “Please be sort” above the stage.

And although the “Gravity” singer made no indication that the picture was meant as a message, Taylor’s followers seemed to think it was related. One consumer commented, “The final slide could be very communicate now coded,” whereas one other added, “ITS TIME JOHN #speaknowtaylorsversion.”

As for why followers appear satisfied John was sending a refined message? Properly, the “Heartbreak Warfare” singer and Taylor dated from 2009 to 2010, after they have been 32 and 19 respectively. And “Pricey John,” which was initially launched in 2010, has long been rumored to be about the now-45-year-old.

The track consists of the lyrics “Pricey John, I see all of it now, it was mistaken / Do not you assume nineteen’s too younger / To be performed by your darkish, twisted video games once I cherished you so?”

Since then, a lot of Taylor’s followers have taken to directing indignant and generally threatening messages his approach.
