In the case of Jarosław Kaczyński, we will submit an application to the prosecutor's office for his managerial involvement – announced KO MP Dariusz Joński, chairman of the investigative committee on envelope elections, on Friday in TVN's “Fakty po Faktach”. The politician assessed it as “extremely important” to prove that the PiS president “ruled from the backseat”.

The guests of TVN's “Fakty po Faktach” on Friday evening were MP Dariusz Joński (Civic Coalition), chairman of the parliamentary investigative committee on elections envelopes and Ryszard Petru (Poland 2050).

Joński informed during the conversation that in the case of Jarosław Kaczyński, the commission will “submit an application to the prosecutor's office for managerial agency”.

This is Article 18 of the Penal Code, which stipulates that not only the person who performs the prohibited act is liable for the crime, but also the person who “directs the performance of the prohibited act by another person or, taking advantage of another person's dependence on him, instructs him to perform such an act.” .

Joński on proving to Kaczyński that he “ruled from the backseat”

– Everyone knew that Jaroslaw Kaczynski he ruled from the backseat somewhere, but proving it, for example on the example of envelope elections, is extremely important and important. Hearing of further witnesses from Deputy Prime Minister Gowin, by Adam Bielanyalso Mateusz Morawiecki and today his (Jarosław Kaczyński – ed.) also gives us absolute grounds to submit such a request to the prosecutor's office – said the head of the parliamentary investigative committee.

Dariusz Joński assessed that the president PIS “he replaced the second person in the state, the Speaker of the Sejm, he also replaced Prime Minister Morawiecki, so he de facto made the decision on behalf of the PiS leadership and made the decision.”

MP Ryszard Petru added that it is necessary to “strengthen the institution so that the National Electoral Commission will very clearly say in the future that these elections will be illegal or unrecognized.” – The Polish state is supposed to have such strong institutions that will be able to defend itself against this type of attempts in the future – noted the politician of Poland 2050. He assessed that the applications to the prosecutor's office must be “very tough, so that the prosecutor's office can really deal with it and really bring charges.” – Only when the prosecutor's office initiates an investigation will it be a success – he emphasized.

“The myth of the great strategist Kaczyński has collapsed”

Joński, referring to Friday's interrogation of the PiS president, said that “today the myth of the great strategist Kaczyński collapsed.” – With great respect, he was the prime minister and deputy prime minister, we may disagree, but there should be some respect. Calling each MP one by one, saying “no, no, I'll stop answering you, I'll just answer questions for my PiS colleagues.” Leaving, interrupting (…), calling Hitler names, all this was to provoke us so that we would interrupt the commission and not hear what he had to say – he added.

The MP said that the committee is still waiting for the “original files regarding the discontinuation” of the investigation into envelope elections initiated by prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek. After receiving them, the committee will prepare a report.

Jarosław Kaczyński before the investigative commission on envelope elections

On Friday, May 24, Jarosław Kaczyński testified before the investigative commission on envelope elections. The committee members wanted to determine what the role of the PiS president was in making decisions on the organization and conduct of envelope elections during the Covid-19 epidemic.

During his testimony, he argued that “the Civic Coalition is fully responsible for the fact that these elections did not take place.” As he said, in 2020 he came to the conclusion that envelope elections “are a good solution for Poland” and that “it was an idea to which I fully agree.”

Kaczyński insulted committee members and journalists during Friday's hearing. – This is a well-thought-out tactic, namely he talks to his own people. He is not talking to the voters who vote for Mr. Joński or me. It convinces its voters that the commission is mediocre (…). He strengthens his electorate and mobilizes it for these elections (to the European Parliament – ed.) – said Ryszard Petru in “Fakty po Faktach”.
