Juchnowiec Kościelny. One was to steal shoes, the other was to sell them on the Internet

The police detained a 30-year-old resident of the commune of Juchnowiec Kościelny (Podlaskie Voivodeship), who allegedly stole 91 pairs of shoes while delivering goods to the store. A 26-year-old man was also arrested by the police and charged with stolen goods. Investigators found that he was displaying stolen shoes on sales portals.

Białystok police received a report from a store representative that 91 pairs of shoes had been stolen from mid-October to mid-November.

“According to the reporting party, the theft most likely occurred during the transport of packages from the warehouse to the store. The value of the losses was estimated at over PLN 17,000,” said a press release from the Białystok City Police Headquarters.

They found 11 pairs of stolen shoes in the apartment

Two men were arrested in the case.

“He is a 30-year-old resident of the Juchnowiec Kościelny commune and his 26-year-old accomplice. When the 26-year-old was detained in his apartment, the officers found 11 pairs of stolen shoes,” the police say.

According to the police findings, the 30-year-old stole 91 pairs of shoes of various brands during a month while delivering goods from the warehouse to the store.

“Then he sold them to his 26-year-old partner, who displayed them on sales portals at much lower prices,” the police say.

The 30-year-old was charged with theft, while the 26-year-old will be charged with receiving stolen goods. These crimes are punishable by up to five years in prison.
