The 23-year-old driver of an Audi died after he veered off the road on a bend and hit a tree. The two passengers were not injured. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
The accident occurred after 11 p.m. on a municipal road in the town of Jurów (Tomaszów district).
– Initial findings by officers at the scene indicate that the driver of an Audi car, probably driving at high speed, lost control of the vehicle on a bend in the road, drove off the roadside and hit a tree. The car then overturned on its roof – says Deputy Commissioner Kamil Karbowniczek from the Lublin police.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the 23-year-old from the Jarczów commune, who was driving, died at the scene. The two passengers, aged 17 and 19, were not injured.
– A breathalyzer test showed that they were intoxicated. The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of this tragic accident. We appeal to everyone to exercise caution and caution on the road and to adjust their speed to the road conditions – adds Deputy Commissioner Kamil Karbowniczek
