I called it a political vendetta and I still stand by that phrase. The actions of the current government, the actions of Mr. Giertych, fit exactly into this – said Michał Dworczyk from PiS on TVN24. He argued that during the PiS government “he had no knowledge about the functioning of the Ministry of Justice, because Sovereign Poland managed the ministry independently.”

For several days, the media – including tvn24.pl – have been publishing tapes that were recorded over the last two years by Tomasz Mraz – former director of the Justice Fund Department at the Ministry of Justice. The recordings concern the functioning of the Justice Fund. Mraz is one of the suspects in the investigation into irregularities in the allocation of million-dollar subsidies from the Justice Fund, described as the “key witness” in the case who is “slandering the gangsters”. Zbigniew Ziobro and his support from Sovereign Poland managed the Ministry of Justice and the Justice Fund itself for years.

Dworczyk: it's a political vendetta

He was a guest of “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24 Michal Dworczyk, PiS MP, former head of the Prime Minister's office. He was asked whether he stood by his words from March, when he called the search at Zbigniew Ziobro's house a political vendetta. – I called it a political vendetta and I still stand by this phrase, these actions of the current government, announcements of political revenge. The things announced today, the actions of Mr. Giertych, are exactly in line with this – he replied.

He stressed that “all doubts should be clarified by the relevant services, and if there are irregularities, consequences should be drawn from them.”

– This is obvious. It doesn't matter if he rules Law and Justice Whether civil Platformthe approach to this should be the same – he emphasized.

Dworczyk: I had no knowledge of what was happening there

Dworczyk was also asked why the most important politicians of the PiS government did nothing about the Justice Fund issue when doubts began to appear.

– Mr. Editor, you know perfectly well, because you have been observing and commenting on politics for years, that individual officials are responsible for their departments and unless the official has received serious information about a crime being committed, he does not take such actions – he replied.

– I did not have such knowledge about the functioning of the Ministry of Justice, because Sovereign Poland managed the ministry independently. I had no knowledge of what was happening there, argued Dworczyk.
