Over the years, she has provided fans with many emotions. It is no wonder that she is the only one in history to be chosen the best sportswoman of the year five times in the “Przegląd Sportowy” poll. She has suffered a lot in her private life. In 2013, the cross-country skier had a miscarriage and was diagnosed with depression. In 2023 she lost her husband. Two years earlier, Hugo came into the world. The sportswoman shared adorable photos of her son, who is already three years old.

The Polish runner is devoted to mountain hiking. She often shares shots of beautiful views. Kowalczyk-Tekieli is still fulfilling the promise she made to her husband at his funeral and has no intention of giving up her passion for high-mountain expeditions. The athlete willingly takes her son with her, whom she has inspired with her love of the mountains from his earliest years. Three-year-old Hugo has already made his skiing debut. On Instagram, you can see him traversing mountain trails with his mother. This time, the sportswoman decided to show a touching shot, which she captioned “My mountaineer”. As the competitor is a regular on mountain trails, she decided to support the Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue. “#wspieramgopr and I encourage you to do the same! To join the campaign, all you need to do is buy a wristband, a cup or a first aid kit. Or best of all, the whole set,” she wrote on Instagram, where she is followed by 175,000 users every day. She added also a photo in one of the accessories, which encouraged fans to take part in the action even more. What is the purpose of this? It turns out that thanks to this, GOPR will be able to develop and obtain better equipment.
